Internet of Things software platform developer ClearBlade has announced the latest feature version of their IoT platform focusing on operational enhancements, heightened cybersecurity, and aligning with the latest industry standards. ClearBlade offers an edge platform designed to enable enterprises to rapidly engineer and run secure, real-time, scalable IoT applications.  The update, named “Soccerball”, contains improvements to many of the company’s major products: IoT Core, IoT Enterprise, IoT Edge, and Intelligent Assets.

IoT Core:

  • Cloud IoT solutions must regularly be updated with the latest security patches. ClearBlade has updated the platform with the most recent dependency and infrastructure versions.

  • Improvements to user experience during updates by supporting blue-green update patterns.

  • Additional validations for managing IoT Core registries.

IoT Edge and Enterprise:

  • Full implementation of MQTT5 support in the ClearBlade broker.

  • Path variable support to better conform to legacy API patterns.

  • Enabling restart of stream services without impacting their message processing queues.

  • Built-in support for using unique certificates for asymmetric key-based authentication, ensuring trust between the Edge and the IoT Enterprise cloud.

Intelligent Assets:

  • Introduced Generative AI to enable users to type everyday language commands to their personal AI Assistant.

  • Built-in native attributes for floor levels allow for rapidly locating indoor assets on the map view.

  • 50% speed enhancement to processing device data.
