ARC’s European Industry Forum is part of our successful series of worldwide conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next European Forum will be held in Sitges (Barcelona), Spain on May 6-8, 2024 and focus on “Managing Digital Transformation in the Age of AI, Open Architectures, and Sustainability”. Participants are invited to attend exclusive presentations and workshops on strategies and case studies from the digital front lines. ARC industry analysts and other experts from the end user and supplier communities will analyze and discuss trends and drivers for hot industry topics.

Oliver Narr, value stream responsible, will join the session on Future Automation Architectures. The session, which is already offered for some time, is now more important than ever, as in todays framework of edge and cloud technological advancements trigger opportunities and challenges across the complete value chain.
The session on Sustainability and Decarbonization will be supported by Florian Albrecht, head of strategy product carbon footprint. His focus will be the platform SiGREEN and how it is used to track and minimize carbon footprints, as the sustainability challenge evolves from a regulatory requirement to a business advantage over the years to come.
Solutions to safeguard the Cyber Security of today’s process plants from the most important threats are available, but many companies are still hesitant to implement and show a reactive approach. Yet, with the new regulatory requirements, CRA and NIS2, more measures are required from more companies, not only critical infrastructure. Here, Michael Metzler, vice president horizontal management cybersecurity for digital industries, will take part in the discussion.
Back in 2017, ARC has launched research on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in industry and covered this topic on the forums. Over the last years AI has become increasingly present in everyday (business-) life and has long left the prototype-status in automation. Boris Scharinger, Senior Innovation Manager at Siemens Digital Industries, will join this session.
Last but not least, the forum tackles the challenging topic of Asset Management. A topic concerning most users, as they are confronted with an aging multi vendor installation in their brownfield installations. The senior product manager, Adoni Gonzalo, will participate in the session that is looking at the efficient digitalization in the process industries.
